Ensete ventricosum Montbeliardii' is a stunning cultivar with its tall stem and leaf ribs flushed deep red and almost looks black. The leaves are a deep green and red which makes a it a stunning addition to a tropical garden. Some people think its just a taller version of Maurelii, its not and the colouration is far different and far more spectacular.
Not Hardy, like other Ensete they require winter protection.
Last years plants that have now woken up. These are in 2 Litre pots.
